and the winner is..........................

3068..

It worked fine for boil off had no probs even when adding the hops to boil...added a couple drops into the fermentor.... well 12 hours later I'm rushing to find my blow off tube.
The krausen does look different then usual (all white with no chunks even after 2 days) but still blowing off big time

lessoned learned: never believe everything on this or other forums....decided to give it a shot in a 5 gallon carboy

Which foam control product did you use? I recently did a roggenbier and a dunkelweissen with 3068. I used Fermcap S and only got about 2 inches of krausen. I normally get only 1 inch with barley worts.

I am never sure what foam control people are talking about. I bought a bottle of white "Foam Control" from More Beer. The bottle had a white label with AD200 stamped on it. AND that's it! Totally useless label. I had to write Foam Control and the dosing amount on it myself.

I mean it isn't that big of a deal but they could have put at least SOME effort into the packaging. However, I must say the shit works really well. I use it in my starters and in the fermentation. I hope it is sterile 'cuz I put the drops right into the primary.
