I have a really bad sulfur smell coming from the airlock on my roggenbier. Is this normal or do I have a problem?

Some yeast throw more sulfur than others. It should blow off pretty much completely.

Think of it this way-
All that sulphur stink is coming OUT of your beer, which means it won't be IN there any more.

I just did a roggenbier a couple months ago with the same issue. I had black pepper in mine, but it still smelled of sulfer. Turned out great
