The loganberry is a hybrid blackberry & raspberry that's tart and purple. There's more on Wikipedia. It's also made into a purple concentrated fruit drink that's popular in Buffalo and Southern Ontario and I don't think anywhere else. We wanted to experiment with a fruit beer and the ingenue I'm pursuing suggested loganberry. It'll hopefully give the beer a distinctive Buffalo feel and I couldn't find evidence on anyone else having done it.
