brettanomyces anomalous

Where can someone purchase this strain? I've heard people talk about it but I can't seem to find it listed at WYeast or White Labs.

I have never seen it around. You might email our fine friends at white labs and see what their take is on it. They might at least be able to point you in the right direction.

Wyeast used to carry it. I emailed them about a year ago asking for it, and they said it's been discontinued and they have no plans on bringing it back. It's supposed to be similar to the B. clausennii (sp?) strain. I haven't tried either one yet, just what I've read.

We dropped the anomalous because it just wasn't selling that well. The boys in the lab also couldn't get it to grow consistently like the bruxellensis and the lambicus. I know the folks down at White Labs have the clausseni....but we dont have much experience with it here.
