sweeten back with unfermented cider

Thu May 24, 2007 12:39 pm

Hello ciderites,
I am just about to keg one of my batches of cider, and I am planning on sweetening it back with unfermented cider (OG = 1.060). I plan on putting about 1-2 litres in the keg, adding the fermented cider (FG = 0.999), and then running it through a keg to keg filter (#2 pads) before force carbonating it. As this is my first time doing this, I am looking for suggestions or advice from members of the crew.
Cheers,
SP
