Kegging Mead

I just got done with a 6gal batch of mead. I wanted to bulk age it for a while before bottling. I put it in a keg and purged the air out a few times with CO2, then put it in the cooler.
I would like this to remain still, and not carb. Will this method work for bulk aging for 6mo or longer?

I did that once, for about 18 months, and it worked fine. Mine was at room temp, not in a cooler.

if I need the room, it will be moved to a closet for sure.

Put it under about 10 psi to seat the lid and you should be OK at celler temp. That is what I do with all my mead.

ok, so purge with 10psi, the leav the 10psi on it. I mean take it off constant pressure, but don't let that last pressure out?

Yup, just check it every now and then to keep it at 10 psi or so.
