New guy from New Kent, VA

What's going on guys, I'm new to the forum. Figured I would join after listening to the Sunday Session and Sour Hour for a while now.

The Sour Hour episode with the Milk The Funk guys was awesome and I have since brewed my first sour beer using their Gose recipe. I'm now a sour beer addict and can't get enough.

Welcome!

Totally understood. Brewing sour beers can be quite addictive as long as you have the patience for them. Be sure to keep the pipeline rolling along by brewing one every 4-6 mos.

Definitely ahead of schedule on that one, tomorrow I'm brewing a base wort that will be soured with lacto, then fermented with various strains of Brett and bottle dregs from my favorite local sour brewery. Then I will age on some fruit, haven't decided yet.

Nice. I tend to do the same with my sours. I brew up a 5 gallon batch, then split it with each getting a different treatment (fruited vs. non -fruited, brett vs. no brett, lacto vs no-lacto). Keeps things interesting and only half the work.
