Hi, malboa!

What city are you moving to?

There are a few homebrew shops in Brazil that you can order equipment and supplies online from, like Malte e Cia (www.malteecia.com.br/), Lamas Brew Shop (www.lamasbrewshop.com.br/), WE Consultoria (http://loja.weconsultoria.com.br/) and Arte Brew (http://artebrew.com.br/).

You can find the necessary equipment here, but better stuff may be either quite expensive or hard to get. Stainless steel equipment is way more expensive here, so most people use aluminum pots. Little gadgets like bottle fillers and cappers are also imported and more expensive. For instance, the metal capper made here is terrible. If it is not difficult for you, you may wanna bring some stuff along to make your life easier.

You won't have any problems finding malts and dry yeast. Liquid yeast is also becoming available in a more reliable way. Just the hops that are a little more complicate; the supply of hops is not terrible but it is not very good either, but fortunately it is getting better.

You will find a rapidly growing community of homebrewers here. You may wanna start joining an "Acerva" email group and looking for an "Acerva" near your. The "Acervas" (Associação de Cervejeiros Artesanais) are the homebrewers association, organized in a number of regions. (Just google "acerva" and you will find a number of them. There is a national acerva too, but it is not very organized yet.

Cheers!
Ricardo
