New Guy from Ga

Hey all! I've been listening to the BN for a little while now and I love craft beer, so now it seems logical to learn to home brew.

Some quick things:
1 - I'm new to the craft beer world (fungus in my username stands for fuck u new guy u suck)
1.b - I know virtually nothing about the brewing process, except for the components involved
2 - I'm looking to do a small home brew setup in the near future
3 - Simple please, I'm dumb (see point 1.b)
4 - I love the BN community from poking around in some other topics!
5 - Any and all information is appreciated

Hope to brewing with you all soon(ish)! :aaron :jnj :drink

Welcome Fungus!

I went to high school with a guy whose nickname was Fungus. There were kids who didn't even know what his real names was, everybody just called him Fungus. His mom got pissed every time somebody called him on the phone and asked "Hi, is Fungus there?"
We shortened it to just "Gus" by Sr. year. I bet they still call him that back home. He really was a fun guy (pun intended).

There are lots of great resources right here in the forum. Also, check out John Palmer's www.howtobrew.com site. John is one of the brains behind the BN.

Start listening to the Session podcasts, preferably in chronological order.
Ask here when you have any questions. There are a lot of experienced brewers on this site and your questions will be answered right away. No question is too dumb, and we promise not to flame you.

Welcome!

Brew Stong is really good for learning a lot of knowledge quickly. It certainly changed my brewing, along with the session and Jamil show (in its various incarnations).
