Fellow Armyfolk,
This Sunday on the Session a sale will be announced for, you guessed it, live listeners only. This sale will be on two hops varieties, and will start when the show starts and end when they go off the air. There will be a coupon code announced to track the sale, which will bring the price down accordingly. At this point only one of the varieties has been picked, which is Citra, a relatively new hop that has been picking up speed that a lot of people love. I know you guys love your Simcoe as well, so I'm considering that as the 2nd hop to run alongside it. These are both pellet, 2009 crop, and if you order during the sale please allow several days to ship as if this is as busy as the last one day sale I ran I'll get buried in orders
Thank you all for supporting The Brewing Network, I feel honored to be a part of this crazy thing, and look forward to shipping everybody lots of hops.
Sale pricing: anticipated pricing for Citra (and simcoe if that's what I run as the 2nd hop) is $20 per pound, thats $1.25 an ounce!
I will ALSO be offering this up in HALF pounds. This is something new for us and something we may stick with if it goes well. I want everybody who wants to get some hops to not have to have an excuse to not get in on it
Of course this will also be paired with my always low $5 flat rate shipping to ANY state in the US including Alaska and Hawaii (shipping equipment there on the other hand does cost more).
For our international customers which we're happy to serve, please place your order online using PAYPAL and I will send you a separate payment request for your shipping. Typical breakdown on shipping international is:
up to 2 1/2 pounds - $13
3-5 pounds - $39.99 (may be cheaper to break up the shipments)
5 1/2 - 8 pounds - $59.99
I can ramble on..so I will..Thanks, stay tuned, I know Tasty has used Citra with great results and so have several fellow BNers on here, Evan, etc. As always your support is appreciated. I'll make sure to pop in on the chat room here and there as well. brew strong and add more hops!
OH and I just got a new sealer we'll playing with and hopefully it will be a permanent piece of equipment in the warehouse. I've got 2.2 mil foil packages which makes it muuuch faster to package the hops up, especially those 2-3 ounce packs, those were a real pain with the foodsaver. The downside is you can't vacuum and seal them using your home foodsaver, though I know most of you buy in bulk and repackage as soon as you get 'em anyway. I'm excited to be able to make those small ounce packages more easily and cost effectively which will also allow me give even better deals on ounce orders at times. Okay, NOW I'm done rambling..
