Moving to Deleware

I will be taking a job in the very near future in Milford, De. I know the first question will be why? To which I respond, Why not? I need to find a place that is all grain brewing friendly, so that I can use outdoor faucets and such...

I will be renting, so I presume that apartments would be outta the question, as only the groundskeepers have access to the faucets? I guess I could look at places with a balcony, but I think it would only be a matter of time before neighbors started complaining (especially those below after a boil over or 12.)

I am more than willing to have roommates, but do not know anyone in the area. I plan to reach out to the local homebrew club to see if they can help, but I figured that I would just waste all your time here, reading something that MIGHT only apply to like 1 or 2 people on here...

Also, having Dogfish Head down the road may not be the worse thing...

Depends on where you rent. If you can find a privately owned place instead of going through a bigger rental agency, you can usually get access to the faucets. I brew on my balcony. I have access to the faucet right below me (I'm in a split level, 4-plex, so it's right outside my bedroom/bathroom windows downstairs), but since the repair guy they use is a fucking moron, his 'repair' when the copper froze didn't do shit. I keep a 3' RV hose on my kitchen sink anyways, so I just crack the window & run the longer hose through there. Sometimes those sinks will have a hole for a dishwasher thingamabob. Not too hard to add a hidden faucet under the sink & run the hose down there either. If you don't reverse it before you move out, they still probably won't even notice. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than seek permission.
