Here's my pic of Venus transiting the sun. Won't see this again until 2117 I believe.

Hell Yeah! Nice job! I am doing what I do every day, staring at the sun from a room without a window. We have some heavy rainfall here currently.

It's like the sun's beauty mark.

If it has been anytime in the last 5 days, there's no way I saw this...all rain around here.

We were completely clouded in here this morning (Finland). So I rolled over and went back to sleep. Excellent pic though.

Excellent pic. Did you take this through a telescope w/eclipse filter? We just watched unmagnified through the eclipse glasses we used for the annular eclipse a few weeks ago. We could see Venus, but didn't get the sun spots and other detail apparent in your photo.

I took it with a point and shoot looking through the eyepeice of a 4.5" ETX-125 telescope. The ones I took with a SLR attached, didn't come out anywhere near as good.

Edit: Obviously had a sun filter on it...
