Beer stops around Destin, FL?

I'm headed there in a couple weeks for a family trip. Are there any good beer bars? Thanks fellas...

McGuire's Irish pub (brewpub) is the only one I can think of in Destin. I've found the beeradvocate.com travel list to be gret for picking out pubs and bars for cities I've never been to before. Here's the link for Destin. http://beeradvocate.com/beerfly/list?ci ... US&s_id=FL

Also make sure you take the drive to Panama City Beach to the Hofbrau beer garden. We had a great time there.

Oh yeah mcguires! I forgot about that spot. Remember any of the beer there? I think this is ZZ's old stomping grounds, if I remember one of his old posts correctly.

If you have time while going past Pensacola, there's a little shop on the beach that has Dogfishhead 120 (I can't even find that in Atlanta). Also, there's Pensacola Bay brewing that sells 1G growlers. IPA's good, everything else is so-so. In Destin, there's also the Dockside Ale House.

Great! I've never had a Dogfish beer so I may have to make that stop and Dockside IPA it is...

McGuires is great. Their brewmaster Tom takes care of the home brewers, he will always hooks it up with samples and beers he has stashed. Call ahead and they will give you some of their house yeast too.

Chan's Wine world which is near the bridge and about 2 miles from McGuires is the best beer selection around.

Before you get to Destin in downtown Fort Walton (or after Destin if you're coming from the East) is a bar called the Salty Duck. 30-40 Beers on tap with more in bottles. Great place to go for a pint or 4.

Another great find in Destin was Mellow Mushroom Pizza. We were down there last month, and the brewers from McGuire's sent us there. They have an awesome tap selection and quite possibly the best food around! In fact, before boarding our plane in Tampa, we sought out another Mellow Mushroom place for lunch.
