It's called free will.

And you want proof of a supreme being? Well here it is:

Until someone can without a doubt prove to me a "supreme being" of any sort exists and is tangible, religion is bullshit. If you want to believe in whatever religion you believe in, that's just fine with me and I'll fight for your right to practice or believe in any religion right up to the point it interferes with my right to not practice or believe in any religion. Some people have faith. I don't. I've got a lot more important things in life than worrying about some alleged zombie person coming back to save us all.

I said that as a dry joke but that was the typical atheist superior attitude condescending response I would expect.

Happy 4th everyone.

This is the first time someone has ever come close to proving the existence of god.

Now if she slept with me, there would be no doubt...

Dec. 7 a date that will live in infamy.
9/11/01.
June 6Th.

Of those dates, I only recognise the middle one. But I wouldn't expect foreigners to know what January 26th or April 25th meant to me.

I do know July 4th is Independence Day, but it has always puzzled me when people call it July 4th. I know January 26th as Australia Day. And April 25th as ANZAC Day.

Promotions that mention "the 4th of July" being celebrated instead of Independence Day really anger me. It is unpatriotic. Some say semantics, I say bullshit. It's disrespectful to those that fought for our freedom.

OK, I'm done venting.

I hear you and agree, the event is important, the date is not so much.

I have stocked up on hot dogs, apple pie, Oreos and US booze to celebrate tomorrow (Independence Day and coincidently July 4) as I am not rostered to work.

Teddy the staffy (named after the 26th US President) won't be celebrating July 8 as that is the day his nuts get chopped off, ouch.
