Why the fuck does everyone get upset when a parent takes their child to the tanning bed. Yet, putting a kid on a mini bike is OK? They have hill climb competitions for 5 year olds! Concussions in the NFL, yet we have UFC. People are stupid and gullible.

NFL and MMA are done among consenting adults. Big difference. MMA is also much safer than boxing. MMA and NFL are not even close to being the same.

That said, my son has been on an ATV since he was 3 and just got a dirt bike. He'll be 6 in October. But I'm in a different part of the American culture than most others on this forum. This is where we ride. 140 acre farm a few hundred yards from Lake Superior.

Tanning beds expose the child to UV radiation. That causes skin cancer. The earlier the exposure occurs, the more likely a person is to develop skin cancer.

An adult can choose to expose themselves to risks. Children below the age of accountability are presumed to be in the care of a responsible adult.

Why should my son not be allowed to ride his ATV? Helmet, gloves, long sleeves, pants, boots, and a competent adult to teach and guide him along the way. According to your attitude, this picture depicts child abuse. If you really think that, you're way out of line and so far off base it's unconscionable.

My question is: why the hell would you go to a tanning bed at any age? But then again, I am perpetually white and learned to accept that years ago.
