Munich LME Help

Hey all,

After watching some Brewing TV episodes, I am thinking of doing my third extract batch in about 100 brews. I have a nice healthy pitch of 833 going off on my Helles right now, and I was thinking of repitching into JZ's Eisbock. I went on to Northern Brewer and checked out their Munich LME, it is 50/50 pale and Munich. In BCS, JZ calls the Munich LME as being 100% mashed from Munich malt. The recipe calls for 8.75 lbs. of Pils LME, and 6 lbs. of Munich LME. I am a bit math retarded. How do I change the ratios to factor in the 50/50 Munich malt that I need to use? Thanks.

Maybe I figured it out. Would it be #2.75 Pils LME and #12 Munich LME?

Yep that does it! This gives you 6# pale and #6 Munich. BTW, Weyermanns Munich extract IS 100% Munich.

The Weyermann is harder to find. The only way I've been able to find it is in a 4 kilo container for about $50 US.
