Root Beer

I've got a keg of root beer, but I only have the 5'/cobra tap line I first got with my system. You really have to keep root beer around 20psi, and that doesn't jive with a shorter line. That's why it's sitting OUTSIDE the fridge till I get a longer bev line

This might be too much of an adjustment, but you might try two pieces of 1x2 lumber and a C-clamp on the line to add some back pressure. I've used it to make a 6' line act line an 8' line; I'm not sure it will work for the difference you are dealing with.

Also helps to have honest-to-goodness beer dispensing line (very thick walls) and not the stuff from the hardware store, or that many HBSs try to pawn off as beer line.

I keep root beer on tap at all times for my boys. They love it and it is a way that they can be part of the whole brewing thing with dad. I find that it is easier to chill and carb the majority of the water first and then add the extract/sugar mixture and then just put it back on the gas in the kegerator. I carbonate and serve at 25-30psi through 20' of 3/16" ID beverage tubing. I get a perfect pour without excessive foaming.

That's the only feet I'm familiar with. I was told in school back in the early 80's that we would eventually convert to the metric system, so much for that.

20' of 3/16" beer line coiled up and zip tied fits quite nicely in the back of my kegerator.
