FWH

I want to try FWH but I only do extract and specialty ATM. I wanted to know if I tried this should I only bring the extract and water to 150-160F then add the hops and let it sit for 30 minutes or should I bring this to a boil then turn off the flame and add the hops for 30 mins.

Also, should I only use the recipes hops that are called for i.e. flavouring hops, for the FWH or should I use additional hops and if so what additional amounts would you rccomend for a 5 gallon batch. I will be testing this on an arrogant bastard recipe I have already made once that came out good, but even though it was loaded with late hop additions I felt it was missing hop flavour. Thanx in advance.

After you remove your steeping grains, (and after you added the liquor to the rest of your water if you do a full boil) add your hops and let em sit at that 150F-160F for 20-30 minutes. Then bring it all up to boil.
