Hey gang,

Quick question for you pros. I was planning to brew a batch of Jamil's chocolate hazelnut porter from an extract kit this evening, but found that I don't have any grain bags for steeping the grain. Any sutable substitutes?

Cheers,

Buy a few metres of muslin cloth.

You can make a sparge vessel from a plastic fermenter, use clothes drying pegs to peg the cloth in the fermenter so it doesn't sit on the bottom of the fermneter and clog the tap. A few bits of mesh wire rolled up help keep it off the bottom.

Wrap the fermenter in a few layers of bubblewrap or buy one of those cheap camping mattresses.

Cheap and easy.
